Who is eligible for a scholarship?

All seniors attending LaMoure High School planning to pursue post-secondary education.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

Click on the Students & Parents tab in this website to create a login to ChapterNet. You will be asked to create your profile which includes your contact and academic information, employment experience, and extracurricular activities. You will also be required to provide one personal reference.

How are scholarships awarded?

The criteria for selection of scholarship recipients are submitted anonymously and are determined by our board members using a predetermined set of scoring criteria. The criteria include consideration of academic performance, extracurricular activities, and financial needs of the student.

The deadline to apply is in April of each year. Students will be informed when the scholarship is open and available for submitting their applications.

How and when are scholarship awards distributed?

Scholarship recipients are announced at graduation. Funds are distributed upon proof of completion of one semester and registration for the second semester of post-secondary education. The funds are made payable to the student and the check is given/mailed to the student.

How are scholarships funded?

Funding for awards comes from three sources: fundraising events, generous donations from area businesses, and earnings from our endowment fund.

What is the endowment fund?

Our endowment fund consists of accounts that earn interest and dividends. These earnings are then distributed in our awards. An account can be established in memory of a loved one or in the name of a living individual, a club, an organization, a business, or a high school class.

How can I establish or learn more about an endowment fund account?

Any of our board members can assist you. Please use our information under the Chapter Contact tab to contact us with any questions.
